Five intriguing romances wrapped in love and magic

Reality Ever After by Cami Checketts

Pregnant at eighteen, Sydney Richland's happily ever after is in serious peril. Her grandmother's ghost can work miracles, but she also might ruin Sydney's chances with the man of her dreams.

Angel in a Black Fedora by Sherry Gammon

Ciel Björk died a tragic death...but she got over it. Now she works as an undercover angel, answering people's prayers. She's sent to the sleepy little town of Port Fare, New York to help turn Chloe's dreams into a reality. As secrets are revealed, Ciel soon learns that things are not as simple as they seem.
A Wish in Her Hand by Amberlee Day

Professor Miri Keeler's life is perfect, and she knows just the sort of man she wants to share it with. When she meets a genie who's willing to grant her a favor, she uses her wish to get the attention of her crush, poet Jamison Arbor. But has the genie's magic missed its target? Miri suddenly has the attention of not only Jamison, but also of Alex, an attractive maintenance man. How will she know which is the right match for her, or what's real and what's magic?

Prom Diaries by Taylor Hart

Sixteen-year-old Lacy O'Donnell discovers her best friend has cast a spell, putting everyone in a time loop, forcing them to relive the same four days before prom over and over. The good thing--Lacy doesn't remember the loop. The bad thing--Drake Davis, the guy she's been stalking, does. Only true love's kiss can break the spell, but true love's kiss has to happen at a precise moment. It's not exact science...it's exact magic.

The What If Wish by Lucy McConnell

Morana is doomed to a life cataloging spells deep below the palace unless she can make her magic bloom. If her deepest wish comes true, it would open up all sorts of possibilities. The whispers that she was a fluke of nature would hush. The King would stop stalking her. Her parents would no longer live under a cloud of shame. And, Adam could look at her as more than a friend. Despite the promises magic holds, Morana will quickly learn that the thing she wishes for most, could quickly be her undoing.

My thoughts about Of Love & Magic ~~

When I saw that Cami Checketts had a story included in this set, I knew I had to read it. I just love her stories. So, she is the author who drew me to this book, but I am loving all of the stories. As you are reading, I have finished three of the stories so far and I will be reading the other two later today. Like I said, perfect reading for today.

Reality Ever After by Cami Checketts is as wonderful as her other books. Sydney finds herself at 18, pregnant and unmarried. She knows who she wants to spend the rest of her life with, who she wants to be her 'happily ever after'. But is that her reality? With the help of her Grandma, she gets what she deserves, but it isn't easy. There is a part in this book where it gets pretty emotional and tears were shed. I was so wrapped up in the story that I had tears too. I love when that happens. And the grandma? Well, she works her magic.
'Granny's ghost had been one of the constants in her life, and it wasn't the first time she suspected that her grandmother could make things happen.'
The What If Wish by Lucy McConnell was fun to read. This is a great story about a fairy who hasn't developed into a 'normal' fairy. She feels like she is a fluke and that she will bring shame upon her family. This story gets pretty intense as she figures out exactly what her fairy powers are. The way this story ended left me thinking that there really could be further adventures for these characters. Who know's? Maybe there will be. And, just so you know, I believe in fairies.
"I heard some humans can sense fairies," whispered Neffi. Her eyes were so big she reminded me of a grasshopper. "They still hold a little of that light, you know, the light they need to believe in things."
Angel in a Black Fedora by Sherry Gammon. I love angels and I love thinking about the possiblity of angels coming into our lives to guide us and teach us. Ciel is an angel with pink wings (they are pink because it's her favorite color) who's assignment is to answer a prayer. She teaches everyone a lot about love and life along the way as well.
'You can't base your self-worth on someone else, and you especially can't base it on whether or not someone likes you.'
Each of these stories are full of love and magic. What fun! I like to think that I am a believer of fairies, angels, and other magical things. This was a perfect set of stories to fill my head with all those wonderful things and feelings.
