Book Spotlight Giveaway! Chasing the Sun by Natalia Sylvester

I have sooooo many books! I have a ton of print books and probably even more e-books. The Book Spotlight feature that I post every Saturday is a way for me to clear my shelves and to share some of the books I have. There are a lot of different reasons that I might be letting some of my books go, the biggest one is that when we moved I discovered just how many books I really do have. This feature is a way for my to cull my collection and to give someone else the opportunity to enjoy them.

The book I am featuring this week is one we read for book club. I ended up with an extra copy when we were done so here you go! We had a great discussion and this is a perfect book club book. Lots of drama.

Good luck and be sure to stop back next week!

Chasing the Sun

Chasing the Sun by Natalia Sylvester
Hardcover, 304 pages
Published June 3rd 2014 by New Harvest

Andres suspects his wife has left him—again. Then he learns that the unthinkable has happened: she’s been kidnapped. Too much time and too many secrets have come between Andres and Marabela, but now that she’s gone, he’ll do anything to get her back. Or will he?

As Marabela slips farther away, Andres must decide whether they still have something worth fighting for, and exactly what he’ll give up to bring her home. And unfortunately, the decision isn’t entirely up to him, or up to the private mediator who moves into the family home to negotiate with the terrorists holding Marabela. Andres struggles to maintain the illusion of control while simultaneously scrambling to collect his wife’s ransom, tending to the needs of his two young children, and reconnecting with an old friend who may hold the key to his past and his wife’s future.

Set in Lima, Peru, in a time of civil and political unrest, this evocative page-turner is a perfect marriage of domestic drama and suspense.

  12. We fulfilled a bucket list trip by going to Nashville to see our favorite musical group Home Free debut at the Grand Ole Opry. We visited the gravesites of Conway Twitty, Minnie Pearl and Johnny Cash. We went to the Loveless Cafe and walked the honky tonk strip. It was a great trip for me and my husband and we are going back in December.
