Boots and Bedlam

Boots and Bedlam by Ashley Farley
Series: Sweeney Sisters #3
Print and e-book, 137 pages
Published: October 18th 2016 by Leisure Time Publishing

‘Tis the season for chaos.

Wedding bells will soon be ringing in the Lowcountry. All Sam Sweeney wants is to marry her man on Christmas Eve surrounded by family and friends. But emerging complications, some humorous and some not so humorous, threaten to converge and derail the best-laid plans during the busy stretch between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Amidst the chaos—dealing with real estate, planning a wedding, running a seafood market, honoring traditions, and contending with teenagers—even the weather rears its head when the weatherman forecasts a white Christmas. Never has family support been more needed, but will it be enough to restore order and save the day?

Escape to the Lowcountry this Christmas where romance, intrigue, and holiday merrymaking await you.

My thoughts about Boots and Bedlam ~~

(I love to note the first lines of the books I'm reading. First lines can really grab a reader's attention and I love seeing where the author takes the reader after their first line.)

First line—'Cardboard boxes, worn from years of use, and large plastic storage bins packed with decorations littered every surface of Samantha Sweeney's sitting room as she sat against the wall next to an electrical outlet testing strands of white lights one by one.'

I love reading Christmas stories and I absolutely love the Sweeney Sisters series so how could this not be an awesome story to read?

From the very first book in this series, I have loved being a part of the sisters' lives. The characters are great, their lives and loves are interesting, and the sisters are always there for each other. Each book develops the relationships between the sisters to the point where I would really like to be their friend, if not one of their sisters.

A Christmas wedding sounds just perfect, doesn't it? The merriment and joy along with the beautiful lights and fluffy snow just create a winter wonderland, a perfect setting for Samantha's special day. As family and friends come together to make sure the day happens, everyone comes to realize what is most important in life.

I always look forward to reading more about the Sweeney sisters and I loved that I was able to spend a little Christmas time with them this year.

I received an Advance Reader Copy of this book and am voluntarily reviewing it.
